I received a wonderful box of goodies on Saturday and I would like to tell you about them.
Elite Luxe Laque nail polish in a beautiful red shade, it went on like a dream with no runny blobs that you get with some nail polish and I was very surprised at how quickly it dried to a lovely high shine finish. It looks today which is 3 days on just like it was applied. No chipping and still a very glamourous shine!
Cosmopolitan make up artist sponges are lovely and soft with a great feel to them, they seem to apply your foundation very evenly with no darker patches that I have found with some sponges.
Cosmopolitan RealTouch amazingly real nails, style no.21, I dont think I have seen false nails look so real before! They even have a side shadow effect which is lovely! They feel quite real and not just pieces of hard plastic like some of the current ones do. I have grown my own nails but I do buy false ones in case I break one of my own. I just pop on a falsie to complete my full set of lovely looking nails.
Cosmopolitan 4 way nail buffer, well what can I say? These are invaluable. You use side 1 for evening out ridges, side 2 for smoothing the nail surface, side 3 to buff the nail surface and finally side 4 to give a really high shine to the nail surface. I have had one of these before from another manufacturer and it was totally flat so wasn’t really that easy to use but this one is shaped perfectly to use without having to keep wiggling it over your nails.
Olay Deep Wrinkle Treatment, I have a couple of deep wrinkles on my forehead and I really think this works. It has a precision applicator so you don’t waste any and can easily precisely put it where your problems are. I think its helped already and I have only been using it for 3 days!
Elite velvet compact foundation, a great looking box with a lovely sized mirror so you can easily apply it on the go. I know why its called velvet foundation because it is very silky and lightweight and does exactly what it says on the box!
Elite Blush, lovely little blush set with its own brush that glides on great and gives a natural looking glow to the cheeks.
Repulp Gloss (plumping lipgloss), glides on the lips beautifully and tingles slightly but the result is a slightly plumped up gorgeous coloured rehydrated lips. Great product.
Smartigloss lipgloss, very pretty slightly glittery that glided on lovely and looked really nice and natural with a slight sparkle that looked great.
Crayon Contour eye pencil in black, great eye pencil that wasn’t too hard which I find that some are. Applied very easily with no crumbling and looked great!
I hope you like my reviews on my goodies as much as I have enjoyed testing and reviewing them!

Hi I’m Ash, here is a step by step guide to my make up.
Face
1) Exfoliated skin using Superdrug Clarity Scrub, cleansed and toned skin.
2) Moisturised using E45.
3) Used a Lilac concealer to hide dark circles under eyes.
4) Covered under eyes with Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse- 048 Sun Beige, and other areas where needed i.e. over eyelids and T-zone area.
5) Ligthly dusted Maybelline Mineral Powder to set the foundation mousse.
Eyes
1) Applied gold eyeshadow- L’Oreal all over eyelid and then Sleek Eye Dust- 690 on the corners of my sockets.
2) Applied Collection 2000 Black Eye Kohl pencil to lower lashes, to make the eyes appear larger.
3) On top of eyelids used Rimmel Black Glam Eyes Liquid Eye Liner.
4) For eyelashes used L’Oreal Telescopic Black Mascara.
Cheeks
1) Used Bourjois Pastel Rose, to highlight cheekbones.
Lips
1) Used Rimmel Black Cherries Lip Liner to shape and accentuate the lips.
2) Finished off the look with L’Oreal Colour Riche- 251 Golden Glow Lipstick.
Hope you like!

I dont like to wear a lot of makeup so only have a few products, but id class them as fairly essential for a day or night look. Just vary the way in which you apply it to alter your look. Being a mum of 2 i also dont get time to spend ages infront of the mirror so most of my looks are very quick and simple….
Firstly moisturise the face for a smooth base
Apply Maxfactor colour adapt foundation in 70 natural and spread evenly
Apply Bourjois blusher in Rose D’or to the cheeks in an upward stroke for a glow
Line the lids of your eyes quite thickly with Maxfactor Masterpiece glide and define eyeliner in smoke flicking it out at the edges
Under the eyes line with Rimmel soft Kohl kajal eye pencil in jet black and smudge slightly for a smoky effect
Apply Maybelline volum express mascara in turbo black to the lashes and finish with adding Vaseline to the lips
Hi guys, this is my contest entry. I thought I’d go with a neutral smokey look for those of you who aren’t as brave as some. =)
For this look I -
* First I primed my eyes before I put on my eyeshadow/pigment/loose shadow, you can prime them with anything from a cream shadow to face primer to concealer to an actual eyeshadow primer such as urban decay primer potion.
* Then I put Barry M Dazzle Dust in 44 all over my lids.
* Then I took my GOSH Eyeshadow palette in 001 Smokey Eyes and used the darkest grey for the crease and outer V.
* I then took the Black and put it in my outer V and slightly in my crease, I also used the white from the same palette as a highlight under my browbone, then apply your favourite mascara.
* I then applied Rimmel Volume Booster lipstick in 102 Foxy and Collection 2000 Pure Gloss Lipgloss in Icing which is just a clear gloss.
Hope you like the look! =)
(admin: Can you please upload some photos of this?)
This is one of my favourite looks - it’s bright & sparkly!
The main focus is the eyes so after you’ve applied the primer and foundation of your choice follow the below steps -
Step 1 – Apply Barry M Dazzle Dust in Kingfisher to the eyelids up to the brow bone.
Step 2 – Apply Collection 2000 Glam Crystals liquid eyeliner (turquoise) over the whole area you applied the dazzle dust. You can just put one layer on for a subtle look or you can build it up. Along the top of the brown bone apply Barry M dazzle dust in Silver to act as a highlighter.
Step 3 – I line my top lash line with Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner (Black) and flick it out at the ends. I line my water line with Bourjois Kohl and Contours pencil eyeliner (black) smudging slighty underneath my eye.
Step 4 – I use Maybelline Volume Express mascara on my own lashes, apply false eyelashes and finish it off with another coat of Maybelline mascara.
Step 5 – I finish the look with Bourjois blusher in Rose d’or and just Vaseline on my lips to keep them natural so the attention is on the eyes.
Here’s the pictures of the final result! Naomi x

Hiya! Well, I don’t think that I really have an opportunity to win as I’m from Germany but I’d like to take part in this superb competition to show you some really funky eye make ups which support the X-mas topic. Yes, you can’t wear them in public. And yes, you can say that it’s quite cowardly only to show the eye area but believe me, I’m not the hottest lass in town.
Anyways, on to the stars:

Products used:
1. step: I prime my eylid to the brows with the base and the shade stick.
2. step: I paint the star and the cloud with the black kajal on my eyelid.
3. step: Now it’s time for some colours. I apply yellow, different blues and white and fill all gaps.
4. step: I outline the cloud and the star with the black liquid liner. I decided to choose a bold line.
5. step: I decorate the nearly finished work with rhinestones.
6. step: I add mascara and some black kajal on the waterline to finish the look.

Products used:
1. step: I prime my eye with the base and the shadestick.
2. step: I paint the picture on my eyelid.
3. step: I add some colours respective eyeshadows now: Gold, red, purple, blue, green gold, black.
4. step: I apply gold glitter to the shooting star.
5. step: I outline the shooting star with the blue iquid liner.
6. step: I stick some rhinestones to the nearly finished eye make up.
7. step: I add some mascara.
If I’ve infringed a rule please tell me. I try to correct my mistake if possible. Otherwise I’ll delete this post if it’s requested. Hope yu like those funny X-mas looks! Thanks for your attention anyways!
Stay beautiful!
Best wishes, Mylanqolia

Heya
Im Amy and this is my 40’s christmas time look with a twist.
I love this look as I love the 40’s style, but with this look I mixed bright pink lipstick with red lipstick to give it that something extra
How I did it:
Products:
Eyes:
Collection 2000 Brown trio- mirage- the Highlight colour was applied all over my lid, the middle lighter brown colour was applied in the outer corner of my eye and the darker brown was used in the crease of my eye from the outser corner to the inner.
Maybellene Southeast sage 312 quad- I used the highlighter to accentuate my brow bones
Gosh Green- apple/lime duo- I only applied little tap like applications with the green which went on top of the brown to give it that twist
Rimmel Black khol eyeliner- applied right near the eyelash line joined with a cat like flick in the outer corner (this makes the whole look become 40’s)
Rimmel volume Flash Mascara- twice applied to get a volumized lash
LIPS:
Collection 2000 volume boost red red Lipstick- Applied all over the lip
Collection 2000 Bright pink lipstick- lightly applied over the red
Cheeks:
Rimmel cheak Blush- applied to the apples of my cheaks, quite alot applied to get a real rosy cheak which was very popular for the 40’s
Face:
Dream matt mousse foundation followed by the same concealor and the same powder.
Finished
I hope you all like this look, and who knows try it out at christmas to give you that exrta twist at the parties
Good luck to everyone whos entering

How i did my makeup …
Foundation, powder & bronzer
* first i used Rimmel London foundation (ivory colour)
* and then used a small amount of powder on my cheeks. applying by a brush to take the shine away, from the 2000 collection
* after I then used shimmering glow bronzer from the 2000 collection to out line my cheek bones also using a bronzer brush
Eyes Makeup
* first, i went over my eyelids with a dark brown eye shadow and then applied a shinny black colour on top of the eyes following a gold eye shadow from l’oreal colour appeal platinum collection, a shinny white to take the darkness away from the eyes, a yellow to make it more of a gold colour around the eyes and then just going round the eyes with the gold eye shadow from l’oreal
* after applying the eye shadow i then applied a liquid eyeliner from the 2000 collection on the top rim of the eye above the eyelashes but made sure it wasn’t a large line that would make the eyes too black.
* to finish off the eyes i used the volume express mascara from Maybelline Newyork and also used Gosh mascara over the top
Lipgloss
* To apply the lipgloss i used a light brown/goldy lipgloss from Maybelline Newyork to make it go with my eye makeup and blonde hair

Hope you liked it, good luck

This is the look I did for my work’s end-of-term dinner the other night. My first step is to tie back my hair, stick my contact lenses in, and cleanse, tone and moisturise. After that, I apply foundation and concealer, maybe blusher if I’m not going extra-gothy.

With just foundation and concealer
The concealer deserves a mention because it was the first time I’d used Sleek MakeUp’s ‘Hide It’ (shade 00) – I was impressed! Stick concealers aren’t renowned for working on the shadows under my eyes but this one does a good job.
The focus of this look is my eyes:

Eye closeup with eyes open
Whoa scary! Here’s my eyes closed:

With my eyes shut
The main product here is Barry M’s dazzle dust in shade 14, a dark forest green. (It matches their nail polish in Racing Green! For my purposes, it also matches my eyes…) I applied this to my lids and blended it into the creases, winging it out a bit at the sides. I then made use of Collection 2000’s Glam Glitters in shades Showbiz (black) and OMG! (gold). The idea with these is that you apply the fixing gel first and brush the glitter over it. I applied Showbiz to my lower eyelid and OMG! to my lashes, over black mascara. Finally, I lined my eyes with Barry M’s metallic liquid eyeliner in shade 1, a silvery black, using a thicker line on the top lid than on the bottom and making a little flick up at the outer corner.

The overall effect
And here’s the finished product, complete with a heroic attempt to put my hair up! It doesn’t show as well as I’d like in the photo, but I finished the look off with Sleek MakeUp’s All That Glitters glitter gel in Gold. This is the best face/body glitter I’ve ever had – it moisturises rather than going gluey!
I’m 28 and in the last year of a PhD, working as a teaching assistant. I’m a vegetarian and avoid products that are tested on animals – luckily this doesn’t limit me much! I normally blog about makeup at http://beakandclaws.tumblr.com and about animal issues (and recipes!) at http://increasingveganicity.blogspot.com. I am currently being annoyed by the low battery signal from my fire alarm and cheered up by the work of one Val McDermid.
The Christmas season is all about bright colours! Red, White, Green, Gold etc..
I’ve decided to stick with the genre of Christmas and decided to do a theme based upon Candy Canes.
Products Used:
1. Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer
2. Collection 2000 Sheer Loose Powder
3. 2True Twist and Line Eye Definer No. 8 (Black)
4. 2True Tiwst and Line Eye Definer No. 1 (White)
5. BarryM Dazzle Dust Cherry/Red: http://www.barrym.com/products/product.asp?id=77
6. BarryM Dazzle Dust White: http://www.barrym.com/products/product.asp?id=77
7. Bourjois Lip Gloss Effect 3D Cosmic Framboise Magnific
8. BeautyUK Glitter Eyeliner Pink No.5
How I Completed My Look:
I started off by using the primer, and dusted the loose power over my face.
I then used the 4th product from the list and covered my whole eye lids.
After that I used the White Dazzle Dust all over the top of my eye lids.
I then used a cheap red lip liner just to mark out where my red stripes will go.
When I was happy with that I used the Cherry/Red Dazzle Dust to make the lines more defined.
I then got the 2True Eye Definer Black and ran it along the crease in my eyelids, and blended it upwards towards my brow line.
I got the Cherry/Red Dazzle Dust and went over the crease line I already made, and blended it again.
I then highlighted my brow line with a touch of the White Dazzle Dust to highlight. I used liquid eyeliner to line my eyes.
Then used the Cherry/Red Dust on my lower eyeline and added a touch of the white eyeliner under the eyeline.
Then I glued on some false eyelashes and finally added two red bows to finish the look!

Hi Everyone!
In this competition I’ve opted for a Pin-Up Glamour evening look.

Here is how i did it and i hope you enjoy it and try it for yourself
PRODUCTS USED:
Elite Velvet Compact Foundation (Naturel)
Elite Blush Secret Cheeks (Porcelin)
L’Oreal Super Liner (Carbon Black)
Elite Intensity Eye Pencil (Black)
Rimmel Volume Flash Mascara (Black Extreme)
Elite REPLUMP! Gloss (Gorgeous Red)

HOW I DID IT:
Base – I used a moisturiser and a primer to ensure an even smooth base, then applied Elite Compact Foundation using the sponge provided. I applied extra to any blemishes/imperfections using my finger. I Then applied my blush using a small fluffy brush, blending it evenly out on the apples of my cheeks to fake that ‘flawless’ look.
Eyes – I skipped eye shadow to keep that light lid look of pin-up eyes. I then applied my L’oreal Super Liner looking down into a mirror (TIP: stretching out the eye/temple area will aid you in a tidy clean line.) I used Elite Intensity Pencil on the lower lash line to open the eyes up. I then applied 2 coats of my Rimmel Volume Flash Mascara to thicken the lashes.

Lips – I used my beautiful Elite REPLUMP! Gloss for the signature red pin-up lip.
I hope you enjoyed this simple glamorous look and will even try it out for yourself!

(Jessica, I added the video as I thought it showed your off look better – hope you don’t mind!)
