Christmas comes early

I have to say, I’m almost disappointed that shops are already completing putting up their ‘holiday’ decorations. October isn’t even over and Xmas trees are springing up everywhere. Summer has barely finished (especially with the temperature these days – lovely), it really does get earlier each year and I’m not all that much of a fan if I’m being honest.
Christmas is really here when they play the Coca Cola advert, the ‘Holidays are coming’ with lorries upon lorries travelling through that snowy village, i love that advert and i love the fact that you only manage to see it a couple of times in the run up to Christmas – less is certainly more, I wish that stores would take heed of this…

S6301339Another massive box of goodies arrived home today, courtesy of Superdrug. I have been deliberating who will get what of the gifts i received, but have to admit i’ll be keeping the mini hot water bottle set – it’s my favourite and is adorable!

There are only a couple of friends who have gone away to university who i have really kept in touch with. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone when they come back for christmas, but with so many of them i was thinking of setting up a secret santa so we’re not overfaced with the costs of it all – particularly as they’re all students now… ha!
These will come in very handy to fund the secret santa idea!
I love the keyring and mirror, they will do for a close friend, despite there being a mirror in the lipgloss – I’m sure i won’t hear any complaints from giving the chic little heart to her as well.
I have set aside the skin care bag for a family member, this is another of my favourites as it is stuff that will actually be used instead of filling it with pointless extras just to make it look like there’s more. That way, it will actually be appreciated instead of sitting in a drawer until it’s found again one day.
I am very tempted to keep the bronzer because of how cute the little brush is! But, once again, I’ll be giving this away to one of my friends little sisters, along with the lip glosses – both are just the sorts of products that a beginner in make up would appreciate and i already know she will have great fun playing around with them.
The nail varnish pack will be given to my mother – she is very limited in the colours that she’ll actually allow on her nails, but these shades just scream her, another gift which won’t be going unused!
