When I was 11, all I wanted was an Impluse Body Spray of my own. It was the must-have accessory in the school bag, of the sleepover, and the best way to fit in with the cool crowd at school.
‘How much?’ Ma commented, as I begged her to buy it for me with her weekly Somerfield shop, before leaving it there on the shelf and making do with an own-brand imitation.
*sniff
I’ve never forgotten that moment, and for this reason, Impulse has never lost if allure for me. It’s still the fabulous thing I wanted when I was 11 years old.
So when a parcel arrived addressed to DG with two bottles of the new Into Glamour Impulse fragrance, I was suddenly transformed into my 11-year-old self and got giddy with excitement.
The great thing about Into Glamour though, is it doesn’t disappoint my 29-year-old self, either and at just £1.73, even Ma would approve.
As the Superdrug site says, ‘It infuses a sparkling floral fragrance with opulent oriental notes to leave you enveloped in a subtle exotic scent.’
And it really does.
Work colleagues all coo-ed in approval, and so I now have one in my desk, and one in my bag.
And the next sleepover I go on?
Well, I’m deafinitely packing it then, too!
