Loading ...You may have heard that the new face of Superdrug is Joanna Page! We’re so excited. Joanna will feature in tv adverts, radio ads and in-store promotional material. Joanna wont be appearing as her character from Gavin & Stacey but herself – in all her natural beauty.
Joanna was chosen for her down to earth nature and because it was felt she is very accessible & friendly for Superdrug customers.
So watch this space in October! What do you think of our choice?

As our Insiders pointed out fun isn’t really determined by your hair colour and you can’t really stereotype one group from another!!
Our winner was Stephy Scribble who took to the streets to ask guys what they thought and also included black and red heads too! Stephy will be receiving another John Frieda goody bag for her hard work!
Sarah Mold from John Frieda was really pleased and said “I think the campaign looks so good and it’s great to have something fun and light hearted on the site for consumers – so much more interesting than basic product info and ads.”
You are now in for a treat as our Insiders have been tasked with coming up with day and night make up looks using Bourjois and Rimmel make up. Be sure to look out for posts over the next couple of weeks to pick up some top tips!

Our Insiders will be helping us determine the widely pondered question – who has the most fun, Blondes or Brunettes? They have been asked to show just how fun they can be and blog about it! As you may have read recently, the Superdrug Insiders Challenge has begun! After completing quizzes and posting product reviews and blog posts, we have found our new Insiders – congratulations to Soph, Rosanna, Stephy Scribble, Miss Princess Pancake, Lois, Beautyh2t and Seamless.
They will join our existing Insiders and all twelve will be competing in a series of challenges over the summer to find out who is the Ultimate Insider (and win a pretty great prize if we do say so ourselves).
The first challenge has been set and we’re hoping the Insiders are as excited as we are that the theme is… summer music festivals! There is nothing quite like attending a summer festival with your best mates, dressing up in festival fashion, grooving in the sun (or rain) to your favourite bands and camping/’glamping’ (depending on how willing you are to rough it) – wellies and all!
Our Insiders’ first challenge is to write a post around the music festival theme. For example, their favourite/funniest festival memory, ultimate festival outfit, band they would most love to see or their festival must-haves.
There are festival tickets on the line here for the best posts, so if there is a post you particularly enjoy, then make sure we know about it by commenting, using the ‘Like’ button or rating it with our special star system.

Thank you to everyone that applied to be a Superdrug Insider through our blog.
We had an overwhelming response and from these entries we selected a lucky few to complete our Superdrug Insider quiz. Those that completed the quiz in the designated time are now going to be participating in our first challenge.
Over the next week you will be seeing various blog posts which will include product reviews and posts about the entrants day to day lives. If you like what you see be sure to ‘like’ the blog post or rate it using our star system!
At the end of next week six bloggers will be selected to become our Superdrug Insiders all Summer long! For three months the Insiders will be blogging about what they get up to this summer, testing out products, and taking part in challenges. At the end of summer, one will win the crown of Ultimate Insider – and an amazing grand prize!

April sees the Makeup Academy £1 range hitting our shelves . The range, which will be only available in Superdrug, includes glosses, lipsticks, mascaras, eye liners, blush, eyeshadows and nail polish –all at £1. Yes you heard right! With a range of colours from neutrals to brights you will be spoilt for choice. We can’t wait!
What Makeup Academy product are you most looking forward to trying?
Also due in Superdrug stores mid-April are the Barry M Ice Cream Colour Nail Paints. Pastel/ice cream shades are a key trend for Spring/Summer and we can’t wait to try them out.
With names like Berry Ice Cream they sound good enough to eat!

(2 votes, average: 5.00 out of 5) Loading ...Good news for all of those Superdrug fiends who live in and around the Cornwall area – a new Superdrug store is on its way to St Austell and will officially open its doors tomorrow, Friday 5 March.
We’ll have the Mayor on hand to officially cut the opening ribbon (because, yes, we’re important like that!) with Miss Cornwall 2007, Dawn Welsby, assisting. Dawn will also stick around to lend us some makeup tips and tricks she’s learnt in the beauty queen business.
On both Friday and Saturday, there will be free makeovers aplenty, gift giveaways and discount gift vouchers on offer. And what’s more, there’s a ‘lucky dip’ for those who spend £5 or more in-store on the day, with a chance to win some cool prizes like cinema tickets, makeup and more!
Bring the kids along too – a balloon entertainer and face painting will definitely keep them preoccupied. And of course we will have a DJ spinning out the latest tunes and creating a fun vibe for all.
